Author Guidelines
All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Informatika dan Sistem Informasi must be written in clear, formal, and academically appropriate language. The content should follow a logical structure and conform to the following requirements:
Manuscript Template
We strongly encourage authors to use our official journal template, which can be accessed at this link . Using the template ensures that your manuscript is formatted correctly and follows the standard guidelines.
Language and Structure
Use formal, scholarly language throughout the manuscript. Organize the paper systematically, ensuring every section (Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References) is clearly defined, relevant, and adds value to the research.
Title
The title should be concise and accurately reflect the manuscript’s content.
Author Information
- Provide the full names of all authors without academic titles.
- Include each author’s affiliation, specifying city, postal code, and country.
- List the corresponding author’s email address only.
Abstract
- Summarize the objectives, methods, and main findings of the research.
- Write the abstract in both Indonesian and English.
- The abstract should be between 150 and 300 words.
- Include 3–5 keywords that represent the core topics of the study.
- Write the abstract as a single paragraph, without citations or footnotes.
Introduction
Present the background and context of the research problem. Outline the state of the art by referencing relevant prior studies. Emphasize the novelty, contribution, or significance of the research.
Research Method
Specify the type of research, approach, location, and timeframe. Detail the subjects, data collection techniques, and data analysis methods. Ensure the methodology is transparent and allows for replication.
Results and Discussion
Clearly present research findings supported by appropriate data. Use tables, graphs, or diagrams where necessary.
- Place captions for figures/diagrams below each figure.
- Place captions for tables above each table.
- Number tables and figures sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and reference them in the text (avoid phrases like “below” or “above”).
- Assign numbers to any formulas or equations and provide clear descriptions of all symbols (e.g., “P represents pressure (atm), m represents mass (g), etc.”).
Ensure discussions link back to the research objectives and interpret the data effectively.
Conclusion
State the final outcome of the research, aligning it with the original objectives. Offer suggestions or potential directions for future research.
References
- Include a minimum of 15 references, preferably from the last five years.
- At least 70% of the references should be from books, journals, or conference proceedings, while up to 30% may come from websites or other sources.
- Use APA Style for citations and references. Refer to the official APA guidelines at this link.
- It is highly recommended to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to organize and format your references efficiently.
