Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement
This statement defines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process of the International Journal of Review Management Business and Entrepreneurship, including authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher. The journal is published by the Department of Research and Publication at Universitas Ciputra in collaboration with the Indonesian Marketing Association (IMA).
This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication
The publication of articles in the peer International Journal of Review Management Business and Entrepreneurship serves as a fundamental contribution to the advancement of a structured and reputable body of knowledge. It reflects the quality of the authors' work and the institutions that support them while upholding the principles of the scientific method. Therefore, it is essential to establish and adhere to ethical standards for all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, editors, peer reviewers, the publisher, and the academic community.
As the publisher of this journal, the Department of Research and Publication at Universitas Ciputra, in collaboration with the Indonesian Marketing Association (IMA), upholds its responsibility to oversee all stages of publication with the highest level of integrity. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint or other commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. Additionally, the Department of Research and Publication at Universitas Ciputra, in cooperation with the Indonesian Marketing Association (IMA) and the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Review Management Business and Entrepreneurship, will facilitate communication with other journals and publishers where this is useful and necessary.
Publication decisions
The Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Review Management Business and Entrepreneurship holds the primary responsibility for determining which submitted articles are selected for publication. This decision is made based on recommendations from the journal's editorial board members and peer reviewers. The journal adheres to all applicable legal requirements concerning libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. In making publication decisions, the Editor in Chief consults with the editorial team and reviewers to ensure a fair and rigorous evaluation process.
Non-Discrimination
The editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts for intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
The editor, reviewers, and editorial staff are not permitted to share any information about a submitted article with anybody other than the author of the piece, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial team, and publisher, if applicable.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted publication may not be used by editorial board members or reviewers in their own research.
Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
The journal uses a double blind review process. The reviewers advise the editor-in-chief when making editing decisions. The editor-in-chief communicates with writers as needed, assisting them in improving the quality of their research article.
Promptness
The journal editors are committed to providing prompt reviews to authors. If a reviewer does not submit his/her report in a timely manner, the paper is immediately sent to another qualified reviewer.
Confidentiality
Manuscript content is handled with at most confidentiality.The journal adopts a double-blind process. Except for the editor-in-chief, editors and reviewers are not permitted to discuss papers with anyone else, including authors.
Standards of Objectivity
The editors and reviewers are required to evaluate papers based on the content. The review comment must be respectful of authors. The reviewers are required to justify their decision and recommendation.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should find relevant published material that the authors have not cited. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument has been previously published should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also bring to the editors attention any significant similarities or overlaps between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper about which they have personal knowledge.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Privileged knowledge or ideas received through peer review must remain confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not accept manuscripts that have conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or affiliations with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the articles.
Duties of Authors
Reporting standards
Authors should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A publication should contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the work wherever possible. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Data Access and Retention
Authors may be asked to share raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review. They should be prepared to provide such data within reasonable time.
Originality and Plagiarism
The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and that if they have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. Papers found with such problems are automatically rejected and authors are so advised.
Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication
When a paper is submitted for possible publication, the submitting author makes a written certification that the paper has not previously been published and is not presently being published in any other journal. Simultaneous submission is considered unethical and is therefore unacceptable.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is required. Authors must cite publications that have contributed to their current research.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be restricted to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the study described in the publication. The corresponding author is responsible for informing co-authors about the review procedure. If accepted, all authors are required to give a signed statement that the research work is their original research work.
Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects
If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have any unusual hazards associated with their usage, the author must clearly identify in the manuscript.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
Fundamental errors in published works
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, the author must promptly tell the journal editor or publisher and collaborate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
