Cover Letter Requirements
Each submission must include a cover letter on separate letterhead addressing:
- Alignment with NOVEM's Mission: Explain how your manuscript advances the "Medicine-Driven Informatics" paradigm.
- Originality Statement: Confirm the manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere.
- Author Contributions: Using the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) system, specify each author's contribution.
- Clinical Relevance Statement: Briefly describe the clinical problem addressed and potential impact on healthcare.
- Competing Interests: Declare any conflicts of interest for all authors.
- Funding Sources: Acknowledge all funding sources.
- Data Availability: Indicate whether data will be shared and through which repository.

Ethical Requirements
- The manuscript reports original research that has not been published previously
- The manuscript is not currently under consideration elsewhere
- All authors meet ICMJE authorship criteria and have approved the final version
- Ethical approval was obtained for studies involving human/animal subjects (IRB number provided)
- Informed consent was obtained from all participants
- All conflicts of interest are disclosed
- Clinical trial registration number provided (if applicable)

Review Process

Article Processing Charges
NOVEM is a platinum open access journal with no author fees for the first three years of operation. After this period, standard APCs may apply, with waivers available for authors from low-income countries.
