Abstract

Studi ini merupakan evaluasi proyek perancangan partisipatif yang melibatkan mahasiswa arsitektur semester dua Universitas Ciputra (UC) bersama Pondok Alam Adat Budaya Nusantara (PAABN) di kawasan warisan budaya Candi Jolotundo, Jawa Timur. Proyek ini bertujuan merancang gazebo modular ramah lingkungan yang responsif terhadap topografi curam, keterbatasan lahan, serta nilai budaya dan spiritual setempat. Proses perancangan dilakukan melalui pendekatan problem-based learning yang mencakup observasi tapak, pembuatan prototipe secara iteratif, serta evaluasi kolaboratif antara mahasiswa, dosen, dan mitra komunitas. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya perbedaan fokus penilaian, yakni dosen cenderung menekankan aspek kreativitas dan inovasi, sedangkan mitra lebih mengutamakan fungsionalitas praktis seperti simbolisme bentuk atap, orientasi ruang, dan kemudahan konstruksi. Selain menghasilkan solusi arsitektur yang kontekstual, studi ini berhasil mendorong pemberdayaan komunitas serta meningkatkan kesadaran perilaku pro-lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, studi ini merekomendasikan integrasi nilai masyarakat dan kearifan lokal ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan arsitektur. Langkah ini penting untuk memperkaya standar akademik dengan praktik yang relevan secara budaya dan selaras dengan norma sosial masyarakat yang berkelanjutan.
